le parfum cinéma
La femme Cinéma plaît et aime plaire. Creamy sweet scent that has a hint of floral notes but for me the amber and benzoin notes dominate and create a warm heady composition. Why do they change beautiful & unique scents into foolish fake fragrances.! How i am so unlucky, although i've found 2011 made Cinema, it smells exactly the new watery version. This was a blind buy gone very very wrong: to me, the vanilla of Cinema was overpowering from beginning to end - also the sillage was huge, as after one spray in the bathroom my family noticed it after stepping in from the front door. I can't believe it I found this! Completley different from my expectations. All I smell is some flower and something peppery/ spicy that makes me feel sick (the sickly spice was in the forefront for like the first 5 mins). An agreeable and eager to please vanilla jasmine that I used to love ..... probably due to the attached memories of it being a blind buy at the duty free after a long ago beach vacation. It was just a mess on my skin. And while I admit that I would like to be in place where I can just borrow Elle from my mom, I would actually like to own Cinema. I love it! This is such a lovely vanilla, with some unexpected spice. I purchased this solely because I heard so many comparing this to my all time favorite scent: L'Instant by Guerlain. Which I guess is great if it works on you, but it just prolonged my misery lol. I don't imagine a Hollywood star on the red carpet when I smell this - more like a Hollywood actress who is in her robe at the end of the day (still looking spectacular!) Online right now: 1971, Fragrantica in your language: The parfume version was so strong I prefered the flanker Cinema Festival. I like this but I just wish it had more citrus notes. This definately gives me the image of a lady of the night who is better at hustling than any top notch poker player. I was curious about Cinema for some time and when I finally received it in a swap I realized that it was just a more lasting and stronger version of S by Shakira( like S even less). It stays in this phase for the rest of its adult life. Back to Cinéma, while I adored the bottle which was luxiourous in design and weight (a beautiful beautiful bottle and a heavy luxe cap), the scent didn't suit its design or even the fragrance's name - which I'd hope would evoke an old hollywood glamour and elegance. gotta hand it to new perfumers who r making niche perfumes that worth every penny! Such a shame, I wanted to buy this classic scent before the stores run out of it but it doesn't fit with my skin. I keep seeing that word "elegant" in other reviews, and the description is apt. Wow! This here is my first and probably my last full bottle blindbuy. It is a fragrance for glamorous women who live under the spotlights, self-confident and elegant, women who know how to draw the attention. It's powdery, sweet, and so snuggly. Il se rend là-bas. It's not soft vanilla floral or oriental like Avon Far Away. i believe this opens with amber and amaryllis with a bit of peony. Enjoy!! If it's the kind of scent you like then it's worth the money because it lasts forever. Dans le livre, la jeune fille porte des mirabelles, pas des reines-claudes. My bottle I purchased sometime ago is DIVINE and I felt as if I had waited my whole life to smell such a glorious scent. Smells like Tom Ford-Violet Blonde. Soft waves, Cinema, and a cozy sweater. Think of Cindy from Grease at the end but like in her 50s/60s. I like the combination of white florals and vanilla but I will stick with Classique EDT and Organza which to me are more memorable and long lasting. This perfume is classy and makes such a welcome change to the usual cupcake and fruit salad perfume that are being marketed now. It was very calm and pretty on paper, but on my skin... horrible! A beautiful classic with some of my favorite notes: Clementine, Vanilla and Amber. I wear this to a wedding or an evening out. Cinema is unwearably loud and perfumy on me. I'd say it is a very safe "mommy" and 'office lady' scent. It starts with a zesty mandarin blast (thought it was neroli at first) that mellows down very quickly to a more rounded fragrance that's still fresh. Even though the ad says it's for glamorous women who boast Hollywood scale social life, I believe that in 2017 that translates that it is even for those who like GOING to the cinema. That's more or less what I get while sniffing. Why is mimosa not listed on the ingredients?? Sensi collected more compliments than any other perfume I've ever owned (men were seduced by it, women were intrigued by it). I'm usually a sucker for anything with jasmine, peony, vanilla and musk. It is the most warming, comforting, but at the same time bright and sparkling scent that really shined in the colder temperatures. Please read the Terms of Service and Privacy policy. This is my absolute favorite vanilla. At this point, it's not fresh, and sort of smells like a classy freeze dried creamsicle. I seem to belong to people who enjoy vanilla in the background but not as the star of the show, so for others who have the same tendency, I would not recommend to blind buy. These notes together bother me too much to wear this. I tried it on my own skin, and didn’t like the opening but the dry down was very lovely! Or a night out at the cinema. at first it's quite strong! If I bought it I would probably wear it mostly in the autumn and winter and especially in the evenings - it's got that "warmth". (If anyone would like to try this, I'm happy to swap decants for my want list.). It is sweet and comforting and I detect rose to which I am trying to get used to. I decided to risk a blind buy but regretted to do so. Most definitely. I thought I´d try the EdP again and see what had happened. It was just so perfect for her! well it dissapoint me :( the reformulation killed the scent, now it's an alcohol mess that smells like a cheap hair spray with no projection... why YSL why??? This is an incredibly delicious, syrupy vanilla, yet the powder makes it feel inedible. Projection is low. The most elegant, classy vanilla fragrance I have encountered. Had a couple of bottles when it first came out. And I totally agree with Ouch! Whenever a fragrance has Jasmine and Vanilla, the Jasmine seems to takeover the scent. Exactly. It's an OK classy fragrance and nothing more. Like something a woman would have spritzed on from an atomizer before a night on the town in the 1950s. I had high hopes for it. Mmm... this is exactly as described. Heavenly, exquisite, sophisticated, its sweetness is not excessive and far from celeb perfume. However, I have to say that cinema is now one of my favourites to wear at night on nice occasions. If I'd made that connection sooner then some other lucky perfumista could have been the recipient. I really like this one, I must say. Nope. Love it on my skin, sweet without being overpoweringly so, vanilla and sweet clementine, so refined, yummy and delicious !!!!!! Then a subtle rose appears for the party. This says one thing to me 'Optimism'. I don't smell the almonds... but I smell puffy marshmallows. This is really nice. For me it is very wearable all day long. I tried Boss Orange Sunset and found that to be too linear, this one is subtle class throughout. Impressive longevity and sillage. A sweet citrus opening with a creamy vanilla dry down. Hypnotic Poison, Shalimar, Ange ou Demon... they all had the same effect: instant crushing sinus headache. it's a citrussy floral amber at this point. Une naissance sans amour, donnée au milieu des déchets et des détritus de la rue. Sillage is not terribly impressive on my skin, but the longevity is pretty strong. The sillage is very loud. She's a mysterious lady and one you should probably stay from but she lures you in like a devil tempting a sinner. It sounds crazy but side by side it's SO apparent! I remember seeing Cinema advertised in a magazine, liking the ad, the bottle and smelling it but never appreciating it. While the edt has less citrus and more vanilla, the parfum keeps about the same amount of vanilla and amps up the citrus (and another note I'm not to sure of) which results in me not liking this frag. This Cinema presents a very boring movie. However it doesn’t really project and doesn’t have much personality. I bought this perfume in the winter, and I wasn't crazy about it. :) I swear I can feel dust in this perfume. Its just like Nina Ricci's Farouche. The almond, vanilla, and amber were very smooth and sensual without being too sweet. I'm not sure if I have the older version.... but cinema is STRONG on me and it lasts for hours. A beautiful ambery vanilla. There was a note in it that to my nose smelled like sweetened black tea, which I love and haven’t been able to find in other fragrances! film allemand de 2006, adapté d'un roman de Patrick Süskind, Das Parfum : Die Geschichte eines Mörders, Dernière modification le 24 août 2020, à 12:41, Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée, Portail des odeurs, des senteurs et du parfum, https://fr.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Le_Parfum_(film)&oldid=174091340, licence Creative Commons attribution, partage dans les mêmes conditions, comment citer les auteurs et mentionner la licence, Société de distribution : Metropolitan Filmexport. And I think that's the heart of this perfume. It starts with a fresh blast of sweet-sour clementine that blends beautifully with cyclamen blossom. If there ever was a perfect bedtime perfume this is it! I can see complaints about the fact that is not unique and that is like many other perfumes. Stays the same from start to end. If you love spicy vanilla that is. I liked the name, but the scent seemed soo boring to me! I really love this perfume. Go buy it! The quick dry down time is the best for me. One of my favorite all time perfumes has always been Sensi by Giorgio Armani. With a sparkling yet creamy mandarin mimosa opening, this beautiful perfume transforms into an elegant floral scent. I had really high hopes for it, being compared to my dear Trouble and all, alas, my expectations were not met. Florals, vanilla and Amber. I tried it once at fragrance shop on my skin. Longevity is very good, if I spritz myself (one spray on a wrist which I use to dab the other wrist and neck with - I don’t like strong sillage) in the morning, it lasts until the next day. I have to TOTALLY agree with Errheads's review down there that likened this to a more grown up Britney Spears fantasy. Even though I was never wealthy, it made me feel very luxurious – and it still does! And yes i agree with pravda 48 reviewer, it reminds me to the alien absolue version because of the jasmin, vanilla amber combo which is similar but Cinema is much more restrained, more a skin lingering scent. Anyways Sensi was discontinued, and I wasn't able to access it for many years. 10/10. This is one of my favorite scents. Cinéma is a silent film featuring elegant cinematography. Not a beautiful idea, I know. This fragrance just like many from the houses do not compare to any of the celebrity fragrances they are masterpieces. It never came to me but since this is a reformulation perhaps my grandmother wore it and that's where I caught a whiff as a kid? It's alright. First off I'm going to say, I may be a flanny and boot wearing boag but I still appreciate the art of fashion dedign; and I've always had mad respect for the late Yvres saint Laurent as a designer, his work was a big step forward for his time, both in clothing and fragrance design. There is a pleasant aromatic quality to start with. This is nothing like allure by chanel. Too much vanilla for me, but it is very sophisticated and elegant! It's really quite sweet and syrupy, it almost reminds me of some sort of liqueur, maybe Amaretto with the almond note...I notice that fragrances that get the "love" vote on Fragrantica are often atomic bombs of perfumes, some of us are just have more delicate sensibilities ;). It was such a hit that I went all over my smallish town specifically to seek it out and to my dismay I never found it. I find myself leaning in and sniffing my wrist once in a while to get that cozy feeling. UK only please. Well rounded, easy to wear... but also not so easy. Synopsis : Jean-Baptiste Grenouille naît en 1744. She gets the love sticker from me nevertheless, because she is truly beautiful, but I am still quite disappointed when it comes to her longevity. Le fils du baron de Bouyon, que devait épouser Laure Richis, a été rebaptisé. I wear it to sleep or when just at home coz I can't afford to wear it to work n waste this nice fragrance if I have to reapply it after every hour or less. Or has this been reformulated? But I love it. Nice packaging, but not much to the perfume at all in my experience this month(2019). Peony + sweeeet benzoin + wet newspaper/tea bag ; at first it is nice, "effervescent" and even wearable, but after 15 minutes changes into cheap, fruity, sticky, syrupy scent resembling Wink by Avon. i finally get some vanilla and almond after about an hour but it's pretty subtle. This was my signature winter fragrance for years, through end of high school and early university. I love this scent, soft floral, and sweet vanilla. I remember meeting a French girl and she smelt so beautiful and when I asked her what perfume she was wearing announced "cinema" in her French accent. This sweet vanilla beauty is definitely one for colder weather and definitely not one I would have worn as a teen. I can imagine it being basically the above, with stronger mid to base notes and less top notes. That's what this smells like. The vanilla is warm and natural, filled and rounded out with the nutty-toasty-honey note of candied chestnut. It almost has a "gourmand" undertone. One of my all time favorites. The fizzy orange soon dissipates, into a lovely almond vanilla, still with some orange scent (no fizziness though.) Son parfum : un bouquet flamboyant de glamour et de féminité qui scintille dans l'or et la lumière. At a party, eyes lock - she is there and it gets quiet. Madame Gaillard, qui a une vie très longue dans le livre, meurt égorgée juste après avoir vendu Grenouille dans le film. Consciente de son pouvoir, elle aime le jeu de la séduction. I think, if you like YSL Elle, you are gonna like Cinema too, as to me, they share the same vibe, even though they have many different notes. While I expected a chanel-esque...throwback glamour..something a long the lines of Allure. I have many fond memories of spring evening walks and getting whiffs of that beautiful, sweet smell. A very classy and discreet spicy orange like a mist in the background. Maybe that is just my skin. I love this scent especially in cooler weather. Jasmine, vanilla and amber are the notes I usually prefer, but in this one, there is a weird concoction of sour and a little sweet that I dislike. It opens slightly sweet-powdery-citrusy, which is my favorite phase, and stays like that for a couple of hours. A gorgeous blend of vanilla and clementine, with almond peeking through giving it a powdery note in the drydown. After two hour it vanishes even from the clothes ! Un parfum éclatant pour une femme divine, qui avance dans la vie comme sous … I bought Cinema based on reviews and was not disappointed. Another IFRA disaster... A beautiful, aristocratic smell, turned into a chemical mess which lasts 1 hour and then is GONE. snuggling her children. I don't think it is sexy but guys do. Also, its longevity and sillage is good enough for me. For that reason alone the name is slightly misleading, but the perfume is just gorgeous. Jessica Simpson’s Fancy is similar to the dry down and has much better projection, cheaper too. The evolution is remarkable and none of its stages ever disappoints. I can handle a louder perfume. I detect the almonds and big vanilla. A truly elegant and beautiful fragrance. They don't make them like this anymore! This was beautiful at one time. Sometimes this anosmia lifts and you can suddenly feel it, sometimes it doesn't. on me, it smelled like ava gardner, on a night out but it's 4am, and she had too many cigarettes and whiskys on the rocks. The gold of the movie screen, the romantic date, and definitely an autumn evening stroll. Then voilà, the clean softness of the florals (fresh peony, airy cyclamen, and elegant amaryllis) paired with juicy clementine (not as acidic as orange or as lactonic as apricot or peach) makes an entrance, adding just the right amount of citrus-floral delicacy. What on earth?! A seductive flavor reminds of Hollywood beauties from the romantic love movies, glamourous evening gowns, Hollywood hairstyles, high heels, black seamed stockings…. Cinéma embodies the golden age of film for me. It then moves to and ends in very powdery vanilla, which is the phase that I enjoy the least, although it's still pleasant. This was a gift to my mom, but she doesn't wear perfume so she passed it to me. Every time I caught a whiff of it, it smelled different, which was fun. And it's the only one out of all my perfumes where people ask what I'm wearing. Comfort whafts about your body when you are wearing this scent, and it suits cashmere perfectly. A few hours in I get more of the amber and a touch of the jasmine, but they seem to really be adding depth to the vanilla than acting as independent notes. If you are looking for a linear perfume then this is not for you. Sweet & warm but with a fresh floral softness. It then goes into flower territory, where slightly indolic jasmine takes center stage accompanied by a sweet, fruity-flowery smell (the amaryllis, perhaps?). One positive is that it is definitely not linear. A very pleasant blind buy! This is basically what you will get if you mix JPG Classique and YSL Elle together. Why oh why oh why !! But definitely soft luxury fabrics. I tried this yesterday but it didnt work on my skin. It's very feminine, with a moderate projection and a good lasting power. I love this perfume. The clementine top note makes it light and sweet; giving the frag a truly versatile identity. The drydown is warm, opulent, and balsamic with amber, musk and sweet powdery vanilla. A friend recently sent me a sample and I like this a lot but I never see it recommended on the boards anymore. I get grapefruit, honeyed caramel. I don't get a lot of floral OR vanilla from this, just musk and amber...and I always spray only 1, max 2 sprays before getting dressed, because this one really has great sillage and longevity with me...I think it would be headache-inducing for me and offensive for others if I sprayed on my clothing too! But I'm looking for reviews from people who have tried it! This perfume is constantly on sale and every time I find it I am tempted by the beautiful bottle. Cinéma is one of those rare perfumes that is destined to become a classic yet which will never alienate its wearers, unlike other famous scents. Im a bit worried to read the reviews saying Cinema is not too good these days. I tried to wear this twice and sold it away. And the smell was deasapeared in an hour. A 10/10 for sure. I think it smells very much like Gaultier Classique Essence. Lasts ages and is soft and tender. I really love Cinema. Perfect for winter and autumn. I had a friend who wore this, and I couldn’t smell it on her, she used to shove her arms under our noses and the scent was quite faint, pleasantly sweet and classy, but honestly, kind of boring. For the office, I would only save it for when I want to feel powerful. For me it fitted right in with the decadence of the time, those years before the financial crisis when clothes, perfumes, clubs, parties, restaurants all had a sort of opulence and luxury. Elegance and coziness with excellent performance, what's not to love? This is so devastatingly hard to find offline and it's devastating. I agree with the reviews that this smells like vegetables- so weird how I got whiffs oh sourness like pickles and vegetables I’m the opening- it also reminded me of contre moi and then I see it is the same perfumer( they dry down differently ) after the bizarre opening it dries down to a sweet but nit too sweet vanilla with floral notes- in a world full of vanilla florals I can’t say thins stood out nor did it repulse me- it does not smell cheap but I am glad I only bought a mini as it is not a love for me in spite of being a huge vanilla fan. Now however there is a new generation of women that would lap this up!!! I'm pretty sure I'm going to be stalking ebay for a full size bottle. I could smell a garden in Summer with a glamorous woman walking through. On me the perfume starts off a million miles from where it ends up. I get something weird & spicy. It’s like a warm hug in cold weather. On the other hand, a similar scent (in that it combines citrus and vanilla) which I have been testing and am so far loving is Guerlain Shalimar Souffle Intense. I blind bought this fragrance because of the glowing reviews. It hits the skin like a ray of luminous sun. twist. I guess I sniffed it once from the bottle a few years ago at it was much stronger. The nose behind this fragrance is Jacques Cavallier. Too much vanilla, and too much vanilla plus amber makes me feel queasy. I can't bring myself to smell it again to describe it, but I don't think it's necesasary since so many people did already, what I can say is that it's a very sexy fragrance, for a woman that feels comfortable being the very centre of attention. I get almond, creamy, orange and green tea. As it has been mentioned, this does feel very 'French'. For me, Cinema is a fairly simple citrus-vanilla-amber fragrance - I don't really get much of the floral - but its simplicity is what makes it so graceful. She's the perfect feminine, glamorous, delicious vanilla. The smell now is in my clothes and it creates this lovely cloud of a resinous beauty. Oh, honey beehive! Someone described her as a "work-horse" frag and I have to agree. I casually looked for a bottle of this for a long time, but never came across a bottle to smell. It's such a soft, classy, feminine scent that to me is very luxurious. It’s an intoxicating luxurious scent with ample sillage. It was gifted to me in 2013. Perfect with my body chemistry, I personally loathe powdery scents, not getting any of that just florals almond blossoms & vanilla with hints of musk & citrus. Like Eau Duelle, one of my favorites, but less spicy and more elegant. Beautiful, but so fleeting. Not very complex or changing (which might be good for some), a note balance which I did not like, and not deserving of its name or bottle. There is a slight floral quality, if you could imagine small pink flower petals falling into a pool of milk with whole almonds, mandarin segments and maybe a little honey or vanilla. You know, there are some bottles which don't tell it's for perfume, but then you come across bottles that immediately bring a picture of a beautiful boudoir with a mysteriously seductive aroma and you see a perfume bottle in front of the mirror, well this is the fragrance bottle I see on that table and the aroma that comes with that picture. It's a strong perfume. Perfumes: 62593 Not doing anything for me. It's a powdery vanilla for an older crowd, I would say 30 and up. Please someone tell me I'm wrong. Cinema is an interesting fragrance. I did not like it when it was released. Ben WhishawDustin HoffmanAlan RickmanRachel Hurd-Wood, Pour plus de détails, voir Fiche technique et Distribution. I smelled it and as a teenage girl i was amazed! My first spritz was beautifully sweet - not too intense - and instantly triggered a childhood memory. The bottle is so glamorous and chic. I thought i would fell in love with it but I didnt!! Then I finished it up so quickly and it was so sad that i never was going be able to purchase it again because there was not a single writing on the bottle. Impressive sillage and longevity, which is always a plus. I really loved this fragrance, but unfortunately I ended up being allergic to something in it (the first and only time I had a reaction to a perfume) and my skin and it did not play well together, so I had to get rid of it.
